Playball Basketball is an Affiliated Association of Basketball Victoria running after-school basketball competition and training for Primary school age, boys and girls. Children commence with Playball when 6 or 7 years old with a Term of Training.  Playball Coaches conducted the training at our main Stadiums. Following training, teams commence competition against other newly trained teams of the same age group. Playball provides Coach-theCoach sessions each year to assist parent coaches.

Teams (either mixed or same sex) generally come from the same school. Competition runs year round, but not during school holidays. Playball Basketball operates at Melbourne stadiums including Sportlink & Aqualink in the Cities of Whitehorse & Boroondara, MSAC -Port Philip and GESAC -Glen Eira; catering for over 260 teams.  

Playball's emphasis is on participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development and most of all, having fun. Pathways to other Victorian Basketball Association (VBA) competitions are provided and encouraged when children are ready and wanting to advance.
